Weight Loss Obstacle = Too Many Office Snacks!

I would say my biggest weight loss obstacle is the constant presence of office snacks staring at me almost every day!

I work in a large office with over 50 people. About 2/3 are women and the other third are men who the women love to feed!

My office-mates try to out do each other with their culinary skills and presentation. The sad part is that at least half of them have no more business eating this stuff than I do!

It's impossible to get away from the food. I've suggested having food only once a week (maybe Fridays), but no...that got voted down! I've suggested that we focus on healthier choices, and no one wanted to commit to that. I even suggested to the boss that eating like this could be detrimental to our healh (and therefore our health insurance premiums), but that argument fell on deaf ears too!

I won't quit my job--other than this, it's a great place to work, but workplace snacks are killing my diet! That is definitely my biggest weight loss obstacle!

So difficult...

I can't imagine anything more difficult than being faced with good food every day--all day--at work. Maybe you can try to get a weight loss support group going (Weight Watchers At Work Program) or a diet book club, or something like that. Even if you only have 2-3 join you at first, others may jump on the bandwagon once they see the success! At any rate, having a support group might help. Thanks for sharing!
