Diet Deprivation

Any Ideas?
I have lots of weight loss obstacles, but my biggest one is "diet deprivation." I don't like to feel deprived!
If I'm out socializing with friends, I don't want to have to be careful about what I'm eating or drinking.
If a new restaurant opens, I don't want to have to choose the healthiest item on the menu when the house specialty may be something a lot more interesting!
If I'm at a tailgating party with my husband, I don't want to have to be the only one sitting on my hands to keep from picking at the food!
If I'm at a birthday party, or a shower, or a wedding, I want to be able to eat CAKE!
Why is that so bad?
So, that awful feeling of deprivation is my biggest weight loss obstacle.
I know the solution... Eat healthy most of the time and save those splurges for special occasions.
Now, if I could just master THAT!
