Diet Deprivation

Any Ideas?

I have lots of weight loss obstacles, but my biggest one is "diet deprivation." I don't like to feel deprived!

If I'm out socializing with friends, I don't want to have to be careful about what I'm eating or drinking.

If a new restaurant opens, I don't want to have to choose the healthiest item on the menu when the house specialty may be something a lot more interesting!

If I'm at a tailgating party with my husband, I don't want to have to be the only one sitting on my hands to keep from picking at the food!

If I'm at a birthday party, or a shower, or a wedding, I want to be able to eat CAKE!

Why is that so bad?

So, that awful feeling of deprivation is my biggest weight loss obstacle.

I know the solution... Eat healthy most of the time and save those splurges for special occasions.

Now, if I could just master THAT!

I am totally with you, Kassie! My husband and I just finished the football season for a local college and weekly tailgating made my diet circle the drain! Each week we got more and more elaborate in what we prepared. There was rarely anything healthy on the table! Maybe I can do better next year. I'd better come up with some healthy tailgating options!
